3. Rubber surface: Generally requires polishing or chemical treatment to increase surface roughness and activity. Theoretical dosage: Typically, the dosage of ZDMA is 2% -8% of the mass of the rubber matrix. But this is only a rough range, and the actual dosage needs to be determined through experiments based on the specific types of rubber and metal, the performance requirements of the product, and the production process.
Mixing process: ZDMA and rubber are thoroughly mixed in the mixing equipment. The mixing temperature is generally controlled between 80-120 ℃, and the mixing time varies depending on the equipment and formula, usually between 10-30 minutes. For example, when using a mixer, the rubber is first put into the mixer for a period of time to be plasticized. After the rubber reaches a certain plasticity, ZDMA and other additives are added for mixing.
Uniform dispersion: During the mixing process, it is necessary to ensure that ZDMA is evenly dispersed in the rubber. The dispersion effect can be improved by adjusting parameters such as the speed and rotor shape of the mixing equipment. Alternatively, a segmented mixing method can be used, where ZDMA is first mixed with some rubber, and then the remaining rubber and additives are added to continue mixing, in order to ensure the uniform dispersion of ZDMA.
Sulfurization process
1. Vulcanization temperature: Generally speaking, the vulcanization temperature of rubber metal bonding systems containing ZDMA is between 150-180 ℃. Different rubber varieties and ZDMA content may vary, for example, natural rubber systems may have relatively lower vulcanization temperatures, at 150-160 ℃; The nitrile rubber system may need to be vulcanized at a temperature of 160-180 ℃.
2. Sulfurization time: The vulcanization time is related to factors such as vulcanization temperature, rubber formula, and product thickness. Usually, at the above-mentioned vulcanization temperature, the vulcanization time is 10-60 minutes. For thicker products or products with complex structures, it may be necessary to extend the vulcanization time appropriately to ensure sufficient adhesion between rubber and metal and complete vulcanization.
